“John McCain believes Roe v. Wade is a flawed decision that must be overturned.”

Senator McCain also believes:

“Constitutional balance would be restored by the reversal of Roe v. Wade, returning the abortion question to the individual states. The difficult issue of abortion should not be decided by judicial fiat.”

Senator McCain will:

• Nominate judges who understand that courts should not be in the business of legislating from the bench.

According to the Obama website, Senator Obama will:

• Make preserving women’s rights under Roe v. Wade a priority.

• Not support any constitutional amendment to overturn the Supreme Court’s decision in Roe v. Wade.

• Expand access to contraception, health information and preventive services to help reduce unintended pregnancies.
