We must support conservation programs to help preserve open space and provide environmental benefits by rewarding good land management practices

--spur growth and provide opportunities in rural America
--fund the beginning Farmer and Rancher Development Program
--support loan and grant programs for rural infrastructure, economic development, and broadband and telecommunications development
--speed the speed research and development of third-generation biofuels
--construct renewable energy facilities
--generate more wind energy
--enhance programs dedicated to nutrition and ending child hunger
--encourage young people to start careers in farming and ranching
We must support rural communities by:
--providing stable disaster assistance
--expanding access to healthcare
--addressing the chronic shortages of teachers
--expanding high-speed internet and cell phone service
--investing in the economic potential of the new energy economy by building renewable energy facilities and expanding the use of wind and solar energy and third-generation biofuels
