Because no one won a majority of the votes in the Georgia Senate race between Senator Saxby Chambliss and Democrat Jim Martin, there will be a runoff on December 2. The Georgia Secretary of State reports Chambliss receiving 49.8% of the vote and Martin receiving 46.8%. An Independent candidate received 3.4%.
